i have never been inside arena essex but next time they have a monster truck event i will be taking my son as he loves them, i know some people that have been so i got some information off of them as to what happens. this is an aerial view of the arena, it is a basic oval with a wall around the outside.
they also have stock car and banger racing events. it is also the home of The Lakeside Hammers who claimed the Elite league knockout winners in 2009, which is a prestigous raceway award where competitors from all over the world compete.
the second animation is based around the lakeside go kart track, which is situated next to lakeside shopping centre.
i have personally raced on this track a number of times including a 2 hour endurance race. it is a very challenging track with very powerful karts. as i have raced the track, when animating i can get the karts to follow a racing line and have them drifting/sliding around the corners as you would when really racing the track.
they have many events all year round and even host some events to raise money for charity.
